On Wednesday, I wrote how my small goal of providing 5 Operation Christmas Love parcels was reached. All this was IN ADDITION to regular sponsorship commitments and was all done with YOUR help! Some of you may not even know you helped! I am writing this on Thanksgiving morning- a day set aside to give thanks to God for His many blessings. I know that for many this was a hard year. Illness, poverty, even deaths of those we love affect many and if you haven't already been stricken, well, I'm sorry but it will come. However if you have a roof over your head, a warm dinner, family and friends- well we all have much to be thankful for this year. Count your blessings- even write them down and save to re-read on a hard day.
We have so much to be thankful for and, in that spirit, I want to expand the original goal to providing 10 Operation Christmas Love parcels- 5 more than the original goal. OCL parcels cost about $40 each- so that's $400 total! That's a lot of money! However, $220 has already been sent so only $180 is left to be raised to provide 10 total parcels.
This is a fundraiser- but it's not a fundraiser. If you want to give directly you can contribute at the Mission Without Borders website. What I'm asking you to do, though, won't cost you anything extra (not one penny!) You can help by simply doing any of these three things:
First, if you order from Amazon (Christmas gifts, office supplies, anything at all!) use the links to Amazon on this blog. These are affiliate links- this means I receive a commission from each sale. I am sending these to Mission Without Borders to support this work.
Secondly, if you are traveling this holiday season, consider booking through my Booking.com affiliate links. They provide a commission for every paid stay and they have the same rates as other sites (no upcharge!)
Booking.com
Finally, if you are in the market for high end, top quality kitchenware that you will pass on to your grandchildren (seriously, it's all guaranteed for life!) look into Jacob Bromwell. I'll attach an ad below. It is more expensive than Walmart but they are offering a 50% off sale now through December 20th so it's worth a look!
Now that I've bored you to tears..thanks for reading and your support and help! I'll keep you posted as we get closer to $400..
